VOLUNTEER HOURS

Families are required to donate 20 hours of their time during the school year. Families have two ways to fulfill their volunteer obligation:

  • Donate 20 hours of their time, per family, during the school year, 10 hours each semester. First semester hours must be completed by Christmas Break; second semester hours, by May 15th. Examples include: driving for field trips, improvement projects around the school, helping out in the library, fundraisers, setup/cleanup for events. Any family member may contribute.

Other ways to meet volunteer hour requirements include: Parents receive an hour credit for every $20 of supplies purchased for the school or school event (receipts must be provided). Parents receive an hour credit for every Home and School meeting attended during the year. Parents driving on school field trips receive "time and a half" to help compensate for high gas prices.

  • Paying $25.00 per volunteer hour not completed is required.

Logging volunteer hours is easy. The Volunteer Log Book is located in the school's main office or you may email hsa@stpetercatholicschool.org with the volunteer, activity, and hours.

Volunteer opportunities are update routinely on this website under Home & School/Volunteer Opportunities.
